The main challenge is to design furniture layout, which will satisfy the needs of a toddler, and later on, an adolescent. Therefore, the furniture needs to be flexible and "grow" with the child. Since children’s preferences do change often, consider choosing neutral and light colours on furniture, and add more vivid bedding, wallpaper and other items that can be easily replaced.
